Ricardo

Ricardo Martinez, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP BD+C

President / Project Manager


Ricardo’s diverse training background includes degrees in both Architecture and Business Administration, as well as study-abroad experience in Mexico. Professionally, Ricardo has been involved in leadership of several committees of AIA Houston, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Houston Hispanic Architects & Engineers.

As a LEED-Accredited professional, Ricardo’s approach to design is to create high-performance buildings that meet the functional and economical needs of his clients not only now, but for decades to come through the application of energy-efficient systems, durable building materials, and inspiring aesthetic design.

Ricardo remains on the cutting edge of design through continuing education training with the American Institute of Architects, the US Green Building Council, and membership with Architecture 2030 — an organization committed to attaining a more sustainable built environment.


Justin2

Justin Myers, AIA, NCARB

Executive VP / Design


Justin received his Masters degree in Architecture with emphasis in Digital Visualization and Sustainable Design. Through experienced application of state-of-the-art 3D modeling techniques, Justin is able to provide clients with an accurate vision of various design options quickly and efficiently.

Justin also worked closely with Ricardo on several award-winning municipal facility designs prior to the formation of Martinez Architects. Their integrated team approach is an asset to clients because it provides a seamless responsiveness to any need that may arise during a project.

With membership in the International Living Future Institute (ILFI), Justin’s dedication to energy-efficient and sustainable design reaches beyond the industry’s “green” standard. ILFI’s Living Building Challenge pushes architects to reach beyond prescriptive design to outcome-based design, producing facilities that truly enhance the natural environment by sustaining a net-zero carbon footprint.
