Martinez Architects is committed to advancing the profession of Architecture as well as the general public through several initiates and organizations. The greatest initiatives we have had the opportunity to actively participate in is educating our next generation to continue the passion of our built environment and its’ effects on our society.


American Institute of Architects:

The Architecture Center Houston is a non-profit organization promoting awareness, understanding, and appreciation of the ways in which architecture and urban design influence the built environment and enhance the quality of life in the community.

AIA Houston Chapter Sandcastle – Committee Chair
The event strives to educate the general public of what creativity and teamwork can achieve. Teams learn how to better communicate and establishes relationships across multiple disciplines.

AIA Houston Chapter Kids and Architecture – Citizen Teacher
A unique connection has been established to promote architecture by introducing basic concepts and design skills. These opportunities are afforded to middle age kids with optimism that our next generation will build on these interactions and skills with aspirations to enter into the field of Architecture.


Houston Hispanic Architects and Engineers:

Professional Architects and Engineers organized to further the professions of Architecture and Engineering.

Through fundraising events the organization has been able to provide over $100,000 in scholarships to Houston area High School Seniors pursuing degrees in Architecture and/or Engineering.

Focused on improving Hispanic Achievements in the Greater Houston area through information, dialogue, service, collaboration and promoting awareness of educational issues affecting Hispanics.
